Tiny Room
Written by Hoblit
I once used to sit
in my tiny room
never breaking my narrow stare
quietly weeping in the rusty gloom
my soul festering in there
Living on gathered
knowledge
my brain slowly becoming stained
feasting on my own imaginary carnage
sanity resting on facts obtained
CHORUS:
One afternoon as the sun shown through
and the light bursts through the hole
my eyes close from the sudden blast
I raise my head to feel the warmth
while the walls are in full retreat
and the long night ends in a flash
But like everything
else in this world
the opportunity quickly dissolved
and just as fast as the chance unfurled
my spirtual chamber revolved
I returned to rest
in my tiny room
resuming my expressionless glare
comforting my hopeless thoughts of doom
with memories of my past dispair
(CHORUS)
