My old band, The Southland Ramblers, released our first album waaay back in 1981. "Here Come The Southland Ramblers" was followed over the next couple of years by two more: "We're At It Again" and "The Autograph Album" (so named because it included an 8x10 glossy photo). Well, and old high school friend of mine, Bob Dunlap, transferred all three of these LPs to CD format for my Mom, and now I have converted them to mp3 for your listening and/or downloading pleasure. Click here to get to them.

Just in time for the holidays, I've run across some Christmas songs. They're not new; long-time fans will no doubt remember them from before. Still, I've posted them again for your holiday enjoyment. Click on "Covers," above, to find them.

As long-time fans will see, I have totally re-vamped the site. You'll notice that little is new other than the look and layout. However, some old content that had disappeared at one point is now back. Thanks to some crucial help and guidance from my good friends in the John Benjamin Band, I have been able to scored more webspace. Thus, a number of my cover songs have returned to their rightful place on the site (click on "Covers"). I hope everyone enjoys them. Again.

I read on the Song Fight message boards that there was going to be a gathering in Wayne, PA, so I drove down to take part. It was a fun day, and it's always great to put names to faces at these things. To hear my set, click to the "Originals" page and scroll to the bottom. I've also included a picture or two.

A new entry for Song Fight: "Brand New Car"

First entry since moving to Jersey. I had in mind kind of a ZZ Top boogie sort of a thing, but of course it sounds nothing like ZZ Top at all now that it's finished.... Check it out on the "Songs" page.

Well, after updating the "Songs" page yesterday, I kinda got on a kick and revamped several things, from the look of all the page titles to adding a few live tunes at the bottom of the "Songs" page. I also updated the "Bio" page to include a quick word about my move to New Jersey.

Two of the three titles at Song Fight seemed really good to me this week. Working on this site was a fun way to procrastinate and wind up without an entry yet again.

A few weeks (a month? 2?) ago, there I recorded a song for a new Cover Fight. The theme was Devo or Pre-1970 Country Song. I'm sure I shocked everyone by choosing a country song. I'm just now getting around to posting it here. Check out "Where Does The Good Times Go?" on the "Songs" page.

Well, I haven't updated this site in ages, due to the fact that shortly after my last update:

a) I took a new job in NYC, and moved to New Jersey

b) my computer died

and because

c) I haven't written or recorded anything new

Due to webspace limitations, I have had to remove a few files from my website. The photos from Song Fight Live Plain & Tall have been removed, but a new link to the Song Fight Gallery will take you to these and other Song Fight related pics. I also removed the mp3 files of all my cover songs except those that are covers of other Song Fighters. If you want a copy of any of these files, email me and I'll be happy to send them to you or post them temporarily for you to download.

As if it wasn't exciting enough that this was my mom's birthday, it was also the date of the official release of Album Fight!! Frankie Big Face, The John Benjamin Band, and Add challenged each other to write and record an entire album (each with the same 12 song titles) in a ridiculously short period of time. The resulting three disks were packaged together in a limited edition, signed, 3-CD set, and this was date of the official release party. All three artists attended, and each performed several selections from their respective CDs in an acoustic setting. ROCK!!

(As an aside: yours truly can be found singin' and playin' on a few of the FBF tracks.)
